About RHLC

Rolling Hills Learning Center (RHLC), established in 2010, is a ministry of Rolling Hills Community Church. Our church leaders recognized a need for an early childhood program to lay an educational foundation for children in Franklin and surrounding areas.

Why Rolling Hills Learning Center

At Rolling Hills Learning Center, we believe that a child’s first school experience sets the standard for the rest of their education.  We offer an inclusive environment that meets each child’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs.

Rolling Hills Learning Center uses an age and
developmentally appropriate curriculum involving various learning
centers. Different areas are set up throughout the classroom to
teach including: home living, books, art, nature, puzzles, science,
and cooking. Other elements of the day include large group playtime,
music time, large motor activities, a monthly Bible theme, verse,
and stories to learn.

The Pre-K classes will be using “The Letter People” curriculum which
uses puppets, songs, and stories to get children moving, interacting,
experimenting, writing, drawing, and counting. All of the skills help to move the children towards reading.

Our Bible based curriculum is the First Look Curriculum from the
reThink Group. This curriculum helps to reinforce to the preschoolers that God made them, He loves them, and wants to be their friend forever. Every classroom has two teachers and follows the State of Tennessee Adult: Child ratios and classroom maximums.

Weekly chapel is part of the Rolling Hills Learning Center experience for all children. This is a special time for them to come together and sing songs about God, hear a Bible story, and pray together. Chapel at Rolling Hills Learning Center is designed to encourage community and explore values like respect, compassion, and kindness.

Music & Art

The Rolling Hills Learning Center has its own Music and Art teachers.  The children will experience the joy of music as they enjoy singing, dancing, instrument exploration, rhyming, active listening activities, and much more.

Children love art! All ages attend art class once a week. They will explore a variety of art processes and use conventional and unconventional (Matchbox cars and bubble wrap) materials. You will be amazed at the artist your child becomes!

Physical Education

Physical Education classes are offered once a week to our children beginning at 18 months. Children learn through movement, practicing gross motor skills, and playing games. Our goal is to create a foundation of movement and activity that children will continue throughout their lives.

What The Parents Say

Your Children

Rolling Hills Learning Center is dedicated and committed to your children by providing exceptional education and child care. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child’s family. Our teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements!

Your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us at Rolling Hills Learning Center. Our school provides a safe environment for your children to learn, play and grow.

Rolling Hills Learning Center is built on Christ-centered faith development.  Our program recognizes children’s needs and provides a loving, Christian atmosphere that teaches them that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Friend.

A carefully planned and balanced program is offered to assist your child in their learning process. This is accomplished through age-appropriate activities and guided independent learning situations.
